Breaking in the backups

By By Cody Brunner September 4, 2007
There are only two ways to go after a drubbing like the one Utah suffered at the hands of Oregon State Thursday night. The Utes can either tuck tail and bide their time until quarterback Brian Johnson returns from a shoulder injury or they can press forward with backup quarterback Tommy Grady at the helm and hope to sneak away with a couple wins in the coming weeks.

By By Rochelle McConkie September 4, 2007
U administrators and student government leaders are looking for private donors to raise the $15 million needed to move plans to build a Student Life Center into action. The donations will supplement a $42-million bond for the recreational center approved by the Utah State Legislature last spring, which will be paid back with student fees over a period of almost 30 years.

Activities: Valley View golf course

September 4, 2007
Valley View is one golf course that has almost as many awards as Tiger Woods -- and for good reason. Simply put, this course in Layton's foothills is absolutely gorgeous. From the moment golfers step onto the first tee box, they begin to understand why Golf Digest thinks so highly of this little slice of Elysium in northern Utah.
