Buttars' run in the Senate has been filled with intolerance. He introduced two bits of legislation suppressing gay rights: One to eliminate the domestic partnership registry and the other to get rid of gay-straight alliance clubs in public schools.

It appears there are two candidates that exist simply to brown-nose the average American, with a willingness to pander for a vote.

Regardless of whatever plan finally passes, the fact remains that hundreds of billions of dollars are at stake and spending will have to be cut in the coming years. The question is where.
