Animal cruelty not worth it

December 3, 2008

In her recent column ("Animal research is clearly worth it," Dec. 1), Alicia Williams was so busy fearmongering over peaceful animal rights activists that many could've easily missed her weak arguments in defense of animal experimentation.

Hilder rejection justified

By By Steven Warrick December 3, 2008

Drinking at U games not a serious problem

By By Brian Trick December 2, 2008

An appropriate name could be "you are causing health care costs to increase, so you should be the one to pay for it-tax."

Animal rights protestors misrepresented

December 2, 2008

Alicia is using fear tactics, trying to frighten readers by portraying peaceful protesters as aggressors. Look at the language she uses to speak about pacifists such as myself: militant, bully, hatred, threat, terrorist tactics.

Students should stop abusing grass

By By Anne Roper December 2, 2008

At the U, golden paths of dead grass are indicative of the road well traveled8212;and it's not the path intended. Everyone knows the fastest way from point A to point B is a straight line. But just as it is in a car, it's not always the path you can, or should, take.

More students need lessons in finance

It would be a lifelong benefit for each student to enroll in a semester of learning about how to best handle personal finance and investments.
