Bike lanes are worth the small cost

Apparently Liz Carlston hasn't ridden a bike around campus lately. If she had, she would have acknowledged in her column ("Campus bike lanes a waste of U funds" Nov. 6) that the new campus bike lanes are overdue.

Weather not to blame for depression

The bike lanes are unnecessary and a reckless use of funds. The $3,500 spent to paint these lines on the sidewalk could have been better used in almost any other capacity.
