The women's soccer team (5-6-1) lost for the fourth time in five games as it fell to Pepperdine University (6-3) on Sunday afternoon 1-0 at Ute Field.

Utah's women's soccer team (5-5-1) faced in-state rival Utah State (5-4-1) Thursday night under the lights of Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium. Kicking-off, the Utes maintained possession for the majority of the first twenty minutes of the game. However, what began as domination for the Utes soon gave way to deadlock, and eventually, defeat. The Utes fell to the Aggies 2-1 in golden goal overtime.

The Utah women's soccer team will look to wrap up nonconference play this week, starting with a match against in-state rival Utah State. The Utes and Aggies will play the first neutral-site match in the rivalry's history tonight when they meet at Real Salt Lake's Rio Tinto Stadium. In its first year of operation, the 20,000-seat stadium has hosted not only the home matches of Real Salt Lake, but also the 2009 MLS All-Star Game and a United States World Cup Qualifier.

The U men's soccer club team lost 0-1 in its first match against Westminster on Aug. 29. On Sept. 5, the club tied its second match 1-1, against Westminster.

The Utes were dealt a tough 6-1 loss by UCLA on Friday, and tied 2-2 with Loyola Marymount to finish up the UCLA Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif.

The women's soccer team (5-3) is in Los Angeles this weekend to take part in the four-team UCLA Women's Cup. The Utes will first face off against the host team and No. 4-ranked Bruins (4-1-1) Friday night at 7 p.m. This will be the second meeting between the two teams, with the Utes getting a 2-1 upset victory over then-No.7 UCLA in 2004.

With the majority of its preseason in the rearview mirror, the women's soccer team (5-3) is home for a week of practice before heading out on the road again this weekend.

The U soccer team (5-3) lost 2-1 at No. 20 Colorado (4-2) on Friday as the Buffaloes netted its game-winner with less than three minutes to play. Utah's only goal came from sophomore forward Erin Dalley, who tallied her third strike of the year.

The Ute soccer team (5-2) wrapped up its five-game home stand and ended its two-game losing streak Wednesday night when it beat Princeton 2-0.

Every true Utah fan has a dream. Some are small, some are big, but all are admirable. It will take hard work, money, effort and some serious patience, but buying a small trailer, painting it red and selling one's soul to Swoop will be totally worth getting that tailgating pass.
