Gibbons Making Most of Second Chance

Sandy Gibbons used to be a world-class high jumper?both in track and field, as well as in basketball. After all, when she played hoops for the University of British Columbia, she could dunk, despite standing only 5 feet-4-inches tall. Brian Gibbons, meanwhile, also played ball at UBC, and also gained some fame for his leaping abilities, as he competed in the triple jump.

Although officials hoped a majority of fine arts students would fill out online course evaluations last semester, only about 20 percent actually did. Students typically fill out the evaluations in class shortly before the semester ends. The online evaluations were part of an experiment administrators hope will eventually affect the entire campus.

Medical Needs $15 Mil. to Maintain Programs

Since police handed out 52 alcohol citations at a party in the Kappa Sigma house, greek leadership has strived to separate itself from the errant fraternity. In that respect, the Interfraternity Council is handling the situation well. In the shadow of recent agreements with neighbors, repairing a damaged image may be a matter of survival.

Letter to the Editor: Guns Are Just Something to Argue About

Editor: I have not followed too closely the policy changes that have taken place recently concerning firearms. I would like to know what the exact current ordinance is and what it was changed from. I know that concealed weapons are now not permitted on campus and that by now people think that there will be no more gun violence on campus.
