Men’s Hoops Starts Two-Game Road Swing

Coming off two of the hotteast shooting performances in its history, the Utah men's basketball team must venture outside the comfortable confines of the Huntsman Center as it enters a two-game road trip this weekend. Utah (12-3, 2-0 Mountain West Conference) begins play Saturday in Colorado Springs, Colo.

U Skiers Honored by RMISA

A pair of U skiers were honored by the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association for their strong starts to the 2002 season. Freshman Pierre Olsson garnered Men's Alpine Skier of the Week honors after capturing first place in the slalom and second place in the giant slalom at the Montana State Invitational, and following that up with a second-place finish in the slalom at the Nevada Invitational.

Huntsman, Annex Lots Finally Close

The annex and Huntsman Center parking lots?which are composed of 650 spaces?close for U usage today. The Salt Lake Organizing Committee was scheduled to take the two lots over on Jan. 9, but SLOC officials decided they didn't need the spaces until today, so the U had them for an extra week and a half.
