November 19, 2001
The final score read 74-55 in the Utah men's basketball team's season-opening win Friday. The Utes' game against NAIA opponent St. Francis was tied once in the early going at 2-2, but the Utes held a double-digit lead from the 10:37 mark in the first half until the game's end. So why was coach Rick Majerus so critical of his team following the win?

Utes Allow Pair of TDs in Last Three Minutes of Game

November 19, 2001
PROVO?The Utah football team said that if it could control the clock with its power-running, ball-control offense, if it could keep BYU quarterback Brandon Doman contained in the pocket, if it could swarm Cougar running back Luke Staley, then it could knock off the eighth-ranked and undefeated Cougs. And the Utes did it all for the first 44 minutes, 13 seconds of Saturday's game.

Over the River and Through the Woods: Getting to Grandma’s in One Piece

November 18, 2001
Thanksgiving is the time for family, food and relaxation. But before the big dinner, everyone has to get to grandma's house. During my childhood, that meant another horrible family road trip. Of course, that was back before the age of the minivan. My parents had the classic Ford Pinto wagon. All four kids had to be packed in and ready to go by the time Dad got off work at five. My mother would have spent the three days prior packing and re packing tiny suitcases or bags while Dad created a bunk bed in the back of the Pinto.

A Delirious Manifesto On Ending the Cold Season

November 18, 2001
Ahh?November. It makes you think of turkeys, football and the first twinklings of Christmas lights. But to me, November brings to mind the sniffling, sneezy, stuffy-head, fever time. Yes, winter is coming and bringing lots and lots of germs with it. If you watch any television news station, they will be running their, "Ways to Avoid the Flu" or, "The Right Way to Wash Away Germs" special features. They warn us of the upcoming flu season, practically begging us to get stuck with the flu shot needle. Maybe you should be paying attention.
