There is A LOT of cool stuff going on in Utah. Festivals, concerts, conventions, you name it. There’s so much that it’s sometimes hard to stay on top of it all. That’s why we’re starting a new series where we present to you the best events in Utah for each upcoming week, so you don’t miss a thing.

Here’s what’s going on this week.

Heart and Soul Music Stroll (June 13)

Head over to Sugar House and stroll through Filmore Street, listening to local bands as they play a wide variety of music in a beautiful neighborhood setting. Plus, there’s food trucks.

48 Hour Film Screening (June 16 – 17)

As I write, teams of Utah film makers are competing to write, shoot, and edit the best film they can in under forty eight hours. Their final products will be screened Tuesday and Wednesday at the Broadway Center Cinemas.

West Valley WestFest (June 18 – 21)

For those looking for some good old family fun, WestFest has you covered. With carnival games, a movie under the stars, concerts, fireworks, and lots of food, you’ll definitely want to head over to Centennial Park this weekend.

Eyes to the Sky Balloon Festival (June 19 – 21)

Have you ever seen twenty five hot air balloons floating through the sky at once? If not, you better head down to Salina. The drive will be worth it, especially for all you photographers out there.

Chalk Art Festival (June 19 – 20)

If you think chalk art is just for kids, then get ready to be amazed. Artists create 3D chalk art that pops out of the pavement, and it all benefits Utah Foster Care. Head over to the Gateway to see what it’s all about.

Discovery Gateway Children’s Festival (June 20)

If you’re going to the chalk art festival, why not pop into the Discovery Gateway Museum while you’re there. It’s a blast for the kids and you can win a trip to Disneyland.
