Letter to the Editor: Rocky put his foot in his mouth

A question of why U fans felt the need to boo Rocky was recently raised in Tye Smith’s article (“Why Boo Rocky?” Jan. 24).

By suggesting commuters are damaging the city more than helping it, Mayor Anderson risks alienating a major source of income for Salt Lake City.

I lean more toward Democrat Republican, but I cannot defend Mayor Anderson’s statement. To be blunt, he was wrong. I live outside of Salt Lake City and commute to school. If he doesn’t like me doing so, then that’s tough.

Congratulations Mayor Anderson for again putting your foot in your mouth.
