U’s pep band should play ‘Louie Louie’ for Sakoda

Editor:

Doesn’t the Utah Pep Band know how to play “Louie Louie”?

Louie Sakoda will not be with us much longer, and he has been the linchpin for Utah’s wonderful winning season this year, especially the Oregon State game, and in the past. Why don’t we hear “Louie Louie” from the band? It is a wonderful band song anyway, but especially for us now.

It is nice to listen to the one they know, “Utah Man,” 20 times in a game, but why not “Louie Louie”? I listen in vain at every game. They should learn it between now and the battles with TCU and BYU, when we might really need Louie.
