Today on UNews, Ivy Smith met with Anna Drysdale of the Daily Utah Chronicle and presented on this week’s state legislative session. Samantha Pannier spoke with Courtney Tanner, also from the Chronicle, about recent criminal activity on campus. Emily Means interviewed Professor Mark Nielsen about the cadaver lab at the U. Gustabo Rodriguez met with multimedia archivist Roy Webb to talk about the U’s 164th birthday on Today in History.
The second half of the show consisted of a debate between presidential and vice presidential ASUU candidates Mike Bird, Ashley Newhall, Justin Spangler, and Madison Black from Team Unite and the Vision Party, respectively. The debate was moderated by Nathan Turner, ASUU beat writer for the Daily Utah Chronicle, and Sam Pannier. Debate questions covered party platforms, the U’s mascot, and pirates versus ninjas.
