Four food trucks. Two fraternities. One day.

On Wednesday, members of the Triangle and Delta Sigma Phi fraternities will team up with popular food trucks Tandoori, Hot Banh, Bento and Taco Cartel to raise money as a philanthropy project. Ten percent of the sales from these venues will go to each fraternity’s chosen organization: Triangle’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity and Delta Sigma Phi’s with the Red Cross.

Profits will only be donated if diners mention “philanthropy” when making a purchase.

Triangle president Riley Walker said it’s unique to see two fraternities working together. He said the groups want to break that pattern and start collaborating more.

Most fraternity and sorority events are held on Greek Row, but the food truck rally will be outside of the Marriott Library. Delta Sigma Phi President Adam Weaver said the two fraternities are excited to do something different and engage with the community. Weaver hopes the partnership will fuel a better turn-out.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in library plaza. Raffle tickets for Skullcandy gear will be sold for $1 each. Other activities include cornhole, hackey sack and slacklining nearby.
