NFC West: High-powered Rams back on top

Everything went wrong for the St. Louis Rams last season. Injuries to Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk were the prime reasons for the team's demise, but rest assured that the Rams are back and poised to dominate the NFC West. The rest of the teams in the division have no chance to overtake the Rams, but the race for second place is intriguing nonetheless.

NFC North: Packers top weak division

The NFC North is the weakest division in football. There, I said it. The top two teams are only pretty good, and the bottom two are stuck in the mire of rebuilding seasons. Nonetheless, this division will probably put two teams in the playoffs, and that is a direct result of the Lions and Bears.

Student employment fair brings opportunities to U

Career Services held its annual Student Employment and Volunteer Fair in the Union Ballroom on Wednesday afternoon. Three weeks ago, a new art house opened inside Trolley Square. Madstone Theaters is a company based out of New York City, founded in 1999, that shows primarily art-house films. Madstone has theaters in nine different cities across the country, with one more on the way in Baltimore.

Editor: Last week I was excited to attend the home opener against Utah State. As always, I arrived about an hour early to watch the team warm up and enjoy the atmosphere. However, to my surprise, nearly three-fourths of the prime student seating was cordoned off, as reserved for the Football Fan Club.

Car collides with TRAX train

The Medical TRAX line doesn't officially open until Sept. 29, but there has already been an accident. On Tuesday at about 10:45 a.m., a Nissan XTerra made an illegal left turn at the intersection of 1500 East and South Campus Drive and was hit by a TRAX train, according to Utah Transit Authority officials.
