AFC South: Manning takes Colts to the top

This division is likely to come down to a battle between the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans. The Jacksonville Jaguars should have a decent season, but are unlikely to make a run at the playoffs. Still struggling for team identity, the second-year Houston Texans are looking to build upon a first season where the team showed flashes of brilliance at times and incompetence at others.

Class clears up myths of medical professions

Undergraduates considering a medical profession can attend an elective course aimed at unraveling some of the mysteries and confusion surrounding medical professions. Introduction to the Professions of Medicine is a 5000-level class sponsored by the department of family and preventive medicine within the School of Medicine and was designed to give pre-med students an idea of what to expect in the profession.

U shuttles overcrowd at peak hours

Depending on the time of day, U students may not be able to get a shuttle ride because of overcrowding. The shuttles on campus fill up during peak times and on peak routes, and the problem may get worse. "This [overcrowding] has been a problem ever since Heritage Commons opened.

U is not top choice for many

A recent survey conducted by U Student Affairs officials reveals that of this year's first-year students, 63 percent of all students polled identified the U as their primary choice as to where they wanted to earn their degrees. But the U is not always students' first choice.

Seat belt protects, does not injure, fetus

Mothers who wear their seat belts are helping to protect the lives of their unborn children. This is according to Lisa Hyde, U graduate and current researcher at the Intermountain Injury Control Research Center. Hyde spent the last two years researching seat belt usage by pregnant women and whether seat belts help save their babies' lives.

Wanted: a caucasian male with a goatee

Police are looking for a man who stole a backpack from an office in the Park Building. Witnesses describe him as a skinny, white male with short brown hair and a goatee. He was alsosaid to bewearing a green T shirt and shorts. They did not mention what color the shorts were.
