U Researchers Find Better Test for Muscular Dystrophy

Researchers at the U have found a better way to test for a muscular disease which will allow for an earlier diagnoses. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a debilitating disease which weakens skeletal and involuntary muscles. Only males can inherit the defective genes that cause the disease in one out of every 3,500 live births.

After an amazing Senior Night, in which the No. 6 U gymnastics team was magnificent in a win over LSU (197.475 to 196.575), the Utes seemed to take a step backward as falls plagued the Red Rocks in a loss against No. 7 Florida (197.125 to 196.150). "It's the same old thing," U gymnastics coach Greg Marsden said of his team's continued bout with inconsistency.
