Split Squad Track Team Heads to San Diego, Logan

After a very impressive meet at Provo, in which the U track and field team flexed their muscles to place well in many events, the team will split up for weekend competition. The women's team heads to San Diego, while the men travel to Logan to compete in the Utah State Invitational.

Women Netters Host Southern Utah, BYU

The in-state war will begin for the U women's tennis team this weekend, as BYU and Southern Utah head north to match up against the Utes. Utah is 8-11 overall, and 2-4 in Mountain West Conference play, while BYU is 8-12 overall, and 3-3 in conference play.

The break was short from Mountain West Conference play and not as productive as it could have been, as the U softball team split with Southern Utah last Wednesday. TUNIS, Tunisia?A truck filled with natural gas crashed into the outer wall of a synagogue on a Tunisian resort island Thursday, killing five people and injuring about 20. The official news agency and the synagogue president both said they believed it was an accident, but Israel's deputy foreign minister called it a deliberate anti-Semitic attack.
