MADRID, Spain?Scientists studying a two-headed snake found in Spain have two major questions: Does one head boss the other around? Will the creature ever find a mate? The star attraction of the University of Valencia's zoology lab these days is a 10-inch ladder snake, a nonpoisonous species native to Spain, Portugal and France.

U’s Bowles Is Regional Gymnast of the Year

Senior Ute gymnast Shannon Bowles was named a co recipient of the 2002 North Central Region Gymnast of the Year Tuesday, sharing the award with Iowa's Alexis Maday. "It's exciting, an honor. It's always nice to be recognized like that," Bowles said. Bowles' climb to the Gymnast of the Year plateau is additionally exceptional considering her gymnastics future was once in jeopardy.
