What? Party Steps Down After Kappa Sigma Bust

Two candidates for student body office stepped down Thursday to focus more attention on the beleaguered Greek Row. "We will concentrate on the greek system because it needs our help right now," said Cory Peterson, Interfraternity Council president and former presidential candidate from the What? Party.

Students Ignore Online Course Evaluations

Although officials hoped a majority of fine arts students would fill out online course evaluations last semester, only about 20 percent actually did. Students typically fill out the evaluations in class shortly before the semester ends. The online evaluations were part of an experiment administrators hope will eventually affect the entire campus.

In many sports publications and news sections in the early and mid-90s, women were rarely represented. Jane Gottesman wanted to change that. "A lot of people argue women aren't interested in sports. When you look at the media, you can see where that idea comes from," she said.

U Pushes Med. Student Bill Through Committee

U medical officials are pushing lawmakers to help medical students who study at foreign universities receive licensure in Utah. The bill drafted by U officials and sponsored by Sen. Edgar Allen, D-Weber/Davis, amends the Utah Medical Practice Act passed in 1997.

Student Candidates Support Capitol Rally

Although the U students rallying at the Capitol Wednesday were there ostensibly in support of low tuition increases, many of them were representing their own political parties.
