The Drop

By By Chase Straight & Trevor Hale April 22, 2009

Chase and Trevor review three new albums for your listening pleasure.

Animated Living

Pete Docter is older than he looks. At 40, he still retains the physical characteristics and boyish charm of someone half his age. He's alert and talkative8212;especially when it comes to talking about his work. That might have to do with the fact that he has one of the coolest jobs in the world at Pixar Animation Studios.

Photo students struggle with lack of equipment

The senior in photography is one of 60 students in the department fighting to use 15 photo enlargers and other equipment for final projects outside of class time.

Satire: Finals causing more trouble than ever before

Chairs went flying and drinks were hurled Wednesday as rival economics study groups clashed in the busy corridors of the Marriott Library.

The Pulse

This is it8212;the end of the line. It's weird how fast time goes by when you only see things in terms of deadlines. By By Paige Fieldsted, Staff Writer April 22, 2009

For the second day in a row, the Utah women's softball team split a nonconference doubleheader as it went 1-1 against Southern Utah University.

Graffiti on TRAX can?t be tolerated

By By Liz Carlston and By Liz Carlston April 22, 2009

The state government is using federal stimulus money to expand Utah's transportation highways and the Utah Transit Authority TRAX lines. Many U students depend on TRAX each day to attend classes and other events on campus. Unfortunately, the main TRAX line has fallen victim to tagging, primarily between 1300 South and 7200 South.

Bad economy isn?t without benefits

Dow points are falling. Investors are scrambling. Banks are going down. You all know about it. Newspapers, magazines, radio stations, television newscasts and blogs seem to be talking about this every day, every hour, every minute.

Summer eats on the streets of Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City never fails to amaze with different and interesting experiences. One great way to try something new is to visit a hot dog or taco cart for cheap, quick, tasty food. With spring setting in and summer just around the corner, there's no better time to expand your horizons (without constricting your wallet) at one of these food stands in our fair city.
