Soccer defeats Air Force in overtime

Adele Letro and the rest of the Utes survived a close call Thursday night and eeked out a 2-1 win over Air Force in overtime. With 23 minutes remaining in the second half, Air Force forward Katherine Slogic powered in a left-side goal off a perfect lob from teammate Corbin Sanford.

Utes roll over TCU, extend streak to four

Concert to raise funds for art, humanities

Simpson had a lot of people fooled into thinking he could be a productive member of society, 2003 and 2004 almost fooled U fans into thinking this was a football school.

Senate honors U Nobel winner

The United States Senate passed a resolution honoring U professor Mario Capecchi for his Nobel Prize-winning research on genetically altered mice Thursday. Utah Sens. Orrin Hatch and Bob Bennett sponsored the act to recognize Capecchi's research on mice that have been genetically altered, enabling scientists to study diseases in detail.

Refugee Naeim Sobhani moved to Utah to attend college because he thought he would be thrown out of school in Iran as some of his friends were because of their Baha'i religion. Peptide could stop HIV progression

A new preventative measure developed at the U could block HIV progression in women. Biochemistry professor Michael Kay and his team of researchers have developed a way to prevent HIV from spreading and infecting cells. "We're primarily interested in prevention and protecting women who can't convince their partner to wear a condom," Kay said.

RSL has eyes on Rocky Mountain Cup

Bioneers conference offers sustainability solutions

The gathering is the first annual Salt Lake version of the Bioneers Conference. The national group, founded in 1990, advocates for solutions to a variety of progressive issues.
