A world without hunger

By By Adam Kirk September 27, 2007
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I fast once a month. I hate being hungry, which makes going without food or water for 24 hours one of the hardest things for me. The first time I ever fasted, at the peak of my hunger, I thought of the starving children and people in the world and thought to myself, "No one should ever ever ever ever ever have to feel this way.

Hate: a disease worth fighting

By By Ryan Shattuck September 27, 2007
As British actor Michael Caine once said, "There are only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch." To be fair, I don't know which I hate more: people who are intolerant of Michael Caine or the British.
