By By Orion Archibald September 13, 2007
Toby Keith's 2001 hit "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" was the anthem of a nation poised to deliver righteous wrath from on high -- but six years later, as that righteous wrath has spiraled out of control into misdirected carnage and the nation finds itself more confused than confident and more bitter than boisterous, Keith has found himself singing an entirely different tune.

By By Ryan Shattuck and By Ryan Shattuck September 13, 2007
The following article is brought to you by CBS: "Pioneering the Anti-reality of Beautiful Women Marrying Unattractive Fat Men since 1998 (i.e. the year 'The King of Queens' aired)." Everyone's heard, at some point in his or her life, the more-pretentious-than-Frasier phrase "I don't own a television.

By By Mandeep Gill and By Mandeep Gill September 13, 2007
What does it feel like to be in the hot seat? Ask U offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig -- he can tell you. September 12, 2007
When Leslie Morley's daughter was in the third grade, her teacher believed she had a learning disability and tried to put her in remedial classes. When tested for intelligence, however, results showed that she was an extremely bright girl. Nadia Webb, a neuropsychologist and faculty member at James Madison University, discussed the misdiagnosis of gifted children and adults at the Salt Lake City Public Library last Thursday.

In Depth: Miles from home

By By Ana Breton September 12, 2007
Doris Kwan considers herself a shy person. She prefers to keep to herself and when she talks -- if at all -- she speaks with a small, soft voice. That is until you start talking with her about fashion. Kwan is an international student from Hong Kong. She thinks the Utah fashion scene is a little dry. During the interview, Kwan was sporting leopard-print high heels she bought at Claire's, a gray, ruffled blouse from Hong Kong and sparkly, bright pink eye shadow. The prices of clothes back home, she said, are far cheaper than those she's found in Utah stores.

Indecent exposure

By By Jon Gilbert September 12, 2007
Real Salt Lake and a red-hot D.C. United will square off in a match tonight, both searching for points. Sound familiar? On June 23, D.C. United made the trip to Salt Lake City unbeaten in its last seven matches. RSL was winless for the year and had just made one of many trades to help spark floundering playoff dreams.

In Depth: Ambassadors introduce international students to U

By By Clayton Norlen September 12, 2007
The International Center at the U is a two-way street -- it both sends students to far-away countries and brings international students to campus. Through the Ambassador Program at the U, students who have experience abroad, are globally conscious or have foreign language skills introduce incoming international students to the U's campus and the wider Salt Lake Valley.
