U to offer religious minor in Fall 2009

The U will begin offering a minor in religion starting in Fall 2009. The 18-credit minor includes courses in several different colleges, including philosophy, literature, sociology, history and Middle Eastern studies.

Internment photos of Japanese Americans on display

More than 110,000 Japanese-American citizens were forced from their homes and relocated to internment camps from 1942 to 1946 as World War II progressed in Europe. But through a series of photographs, Dorothea Lange told part of that story, which is on display at the Tanner Humanities building from Feb. 19 to March 13.

Student protestors less active today

Students during the 1960s fought against what they considered unjust government restriction to protest, and students now are fighting similar battles for their beliefs. In the past year alone, students have taken an active interest protesting animal research, gay rights and budget cuts to state schools.

Undocumented student tuition bill moves to House floor
