TCU writer’s article offensive, nonsensical

November 11, 2008

Overall, Wessels' article was poorly written, poorly researched and embarrassing for him and the TCU Horned Frogs. However, I thank him for his revealing insights into "fake fun" versus "real fun" because the courses offered at the U don't really cover that sort of thing.

Avoid desensitizing entertainment

By By Emily Rodriguez-Vargas November 7, 2008

We are the ones living in the reality, not the Hollywood stars who get paid to act in movies in some imaginary world where crime goes unpunished and actions have little consequence. Of course, we can't stop Hollywood from producing these films, but we can decide to be more aware of what we watch on our own.

Let Bluetooth headsets die out

By By Brian Trick November 7, 2008

In Utah, headsets are pointless. Utah's cell phone law ranks as a secondary offense, according to the Governor's Highway Safety Association. The only way to receive a cell phone violation is to simultaneously commit another offense like speeding.
