Utah crushes Weber

After spending the past two weekends in California, the Utes were finally back home in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, and they looked comfortable as they claimed a solid 56-41 over Weber State. The Utes came out of the locker room and took a large 16-2 lead over the Wildcats early in the first half, never looking back through the duration of the game.

I've been asked a million times why Utah fans hate BYU so much, now I'll have an answer. I could go on all day about BYU, fans and the rivalry, but it's all just fuel for another year and another rivalry game.

Despite Early Lead, Utes trail at half

After jumping out to an early 6-0 lead thanks to back-to-back field goals from Utah's Joe Phillips, the Cougars responded with a 17 play 52 yard drive that ended in a 27 yard field goal. Freshman quarterback Jordan Wynn went 6-6 for 87 yards in the first quarter before throwing his first incomplete pass of the game in the second quarter.

Cougars snag rivalry win in overtime

Utah rallied to tie the game 20-20 to force overtime, but a 25-yard pass from BYU quarterback Max Hall to tight end Andrew George eventually sealed the win for the Cougars.
