The Office of Residential Living will tell you to move into the dorms to live five minutes away from classes. I say, come, you might win a free Playstation 2. How? By attending basketball games with your residential adviser and your floor "team." With your "team," you compete with other floors, and the floor with the most residents attending the game wins the Playstation.

U Wins On The Road, Streak 11

January 22, 2002
It was a prosperous three day weekend for the Utah men's basketball team, as it came up with a pair of MWC wins in its first road trip of the year. The two wins extend Utah's winning streak to 11 games, dating back to a Dec. 4 loss to Arizona State. Utah (14-3, 4-0) slammed New Mexico (12-5, 2-1) 81-51 at the Pit Monday night, two days after a 63-57 overtime win over Air Force (7-10, 1-3).

Letter to the Editor: Shooting Holes in a Pro-Gun Argument

Editor: I'd like to respond to Wilson Fatongia's Jan. 22 letter to the editor, "Weapons at U Detrimental to Focus" in which he argues against the logic of permitting guns on campus. Far be it from me to poke fun at a well thought-out or cohesively delivered argument.

Man With Scissors, Headless Legislator and Frozen Meat Wielding Perpetrators Prove Olympic Insecurity

In a surprising breech of security last week, Olympic Village volunteers admitted into the area a man with scissors, a headless woman with a concealed weapon and a suspicious looking woman armed with frozen meat products. Though they turned out to be the Village barber (Youhaav Splitendds), a visiting legislator (Ivana ScrooUover) and a McDonald's employee (Patty Mcflurry), the Salt Lake Organizing Committee considered the invasion a chance to re-think Village security.
