November 13, 2001
I'm not destitute by any means, and I certainly don't mean to trivialize the plight of those who find themselves in enough economic hardship that they're forced to flip a borrowed quarter just to decide which bill to pay this month, but? As a college student (that should say enough, but I'll continue anyway) who works long hours for less money than the tip Bill Gates gives the cabana boy for bringing him a margarita, I know a little about poor.

Volleyball Exceeded Its Own Expectations

November 13, 2001
Coming into the season, University of Utah volleyball coach Beth Launiere was not expecting the type of success the team has had thus far, finishing its pre-MWC Tournament schedule at 19-5 overall, and placing second in the conference at 11-3. "If you told me that we would only have five losses at the end of the season, I would be very surprised, and very happy," Launiere said.
