Part of U Episode 5: Rachael

Part+of+U+Episode+5%3A+Rachael

Rachael Folland sat down with the ‘Part of U’ series and shared what being a part of the U has meant for her. She was recently accepted for an internship in Washington, D.C. in the spring. Folland, a transfer student from Salt Lake Community College, came to the U to study communications.
“I love the communication program,” said Folland. “There’s just been windows of opportunity here. I’ve connected with a lot of my professors and just learned so much.”
One of those opportunities she received at the U was an internship that she acquired through the Hinckley Institute of Politics and its advisors, who helped her through the process of applying.
“Being a part of the U gives me a chance to go abroad, explore new things, and be the person I want to be,” Folland said.
Visit the Hinckley Institute of Politics at www.hinckley.utah.edu for more information on internships and opportunities.
