Fall Fashion – Finding Looks To Go With The Books

Fall+Fashion+-+Finding+Looks+To+Go+With+The+Books
Keeping up with trends can be tough, so here are a few super easy, wearable trends for heading back to the new school semester.

As you begin planning for fall semester, you may also want to begin to plan your fall wardrobe. Here are a few trendy outfits to give you ideas, many of which should prove useful when you find yourself in a rut and need something quick for class. Being stylish isn’t as hard as you might think, especially when you remember to take the approach that less is more.

Finding the perfect back to school outfits for the beginning of the semester is easy. There are plenty of new trends in the world of fashion to pick and choose from, besides the ones shown here. No need to wear every single one, especially if some don’t appeal to you. The idea is to find trends you like and want to try in order to expand your wardrobe for a more fun, versatile and creative collection.

Ladies’ Trend #1: Romantic/Bohemian theme

this is an imageYou’ve probably noticed this trend, as it’s been seen repeatedly in most women’s clothing stores. Romantic or bohemian-styled clothing includes fringed pieces, floral prints and suede designs, as well as flowy dresses. Priya, a college student, incorporated this theme into her henna design-inspired romper with tied-up laces near the neckline for extra detail. She paired this orange romper she found at Abercrombie & Fitch with her Timberland boots.

To prepare for nights when it might get a bit chilly, you can add a dark green camo-styled jacket to create a fun look for your evening classes. The dark green next to the orange creates the charming mix of a bohemian style with a more structured look.

Ladies’ Trend #2: Choker with personality

The 90s have made a big comeback, particularly in the current trends showing up on Instagram. It may remind you of your childhood if you wore those tight plastic swirly chokers as a kid while playing with your Tamagotchi. Priya paired her beaded choker with a gold heart necklace for an extra layer. It should be easy to find a choker that fits your own personal style, as they are currently in stock in most trendy stores such as Forever 21, Asos and H&M. You’re bound to find one you like.

Ladies’ Trend #3: Bralette

Want to mix up your basic wardrobe full of tees, tanks and jeans? As seen on a few celebrities recently, a bralette can be layered on top of a plain white tee for a bit of a feminine vibe. Yes, you read that right, on top of a t-shirt. With fashion, there aren’t many rules to follow and changing things up prevents boredom. Creativity rules the world. Priya tucked in her white tee to best flaunt her lace bralette, in a look inspired by celebrity Kendall Jenner, by dressing down the outfit with white Converse sneakers.

Guys’ Trend #1: Knee length shorts

this is an imageGuy-style on the runway is questionable for most, but it definitely depends on your own taste. Most guys on campus seem to sport a more relaxed look, consisting mainly of athletic apparel.

For those who want to switch things up a bit, the classic knee length shorts are trending now; unfortunately so are high, high shorts. Honestly, high shorts should be left on the runway.

Mandeep, who attends the U, is wearing his knee length shorts with a John Varvatos top.

Guys’ Trend #2: Shades of green

Green has been the new black since spring. This Dolce & Gabbana Roman Ceasar-era style seaweed green colored shirt, that Mandeep is wearing, adds nice color paired with his black motto jeans and silver high tops. This look takes the casual style to a whole new level of class while keeping current with trends, creating a unique overall style that helps you stand out of the crowd.
