Oasis Crimson Nights tonight

By Rita Totten, Staff Writer

Crimson Nights is starting off the school year tonight with an Oasis beach theme.

The Union Programming Council, which hosts the monthly Crimson Nights party at the Union, hopes the theme will boost attendance.

“We want each and every event this year to be unique,” said Ashley Swapp, director of Crimson Nights.

Students can come to the Union from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. to enjoy an evening of tropical fun with water balloons and an inflatable surfing machine.

Swapp said the celebration will include a Slip ‘N Slide in the Union free speech area, as well as tie-dye shirts, fire dancers and more.
UPC will host six Crimson Nights in the 2008-2009 school year.
Students can attend for free with their UCard. Entrance is $5 for non-students.
