Yogis and stressed students may have been disappointed to learn the 2 p.m. yoga class was cancelled Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The class, which is a part of Geek Week, was supposed to be held on the third floor of the Marriott library.

Rachel Wootton, ASUU’s director of academic affairs and a senior in political science, said the cancellation was due to an issue with the spot that was selected.

“I believe they wanted to move it to a more private space, somewhere more secluded where people would feel more comfortable,” Wootton said.

In addition to privacy issues, a yoga class could be distracting for studying students. The third floor is usually packed with students, especially during finals.

Wootton confirmed there will be classes held tomorrow although the location has not been decided. Aside from this cancellation, the rest of the Geek Week events have been running as planned.
