Swim and dive: Women’s trio finishes up at NCAA’s, men’s team prepares

The U women’s swim team competed in the NCAA Championships last weekend.

Senior Giuliana Gigliotti finished 33rd in the 50-yard freestyle on the first day as she touched in with a time of 22.49.

Day two saw sophomore Stina Colleou compete in the 100-yard breaststroke and finish in 40th place. Her time was 1:01.21.

On the final day, Colleou would swim again, this time in the 200-yard breaststroke. Her time of 2:10.82 placed her in 26th place.

Senior Jasmine Matkovic competed on the final day as well in the platform event and finished up her season taking 37th place in that event. She ended with a total score of 215.90.

The men’s team travels to Iowa this week for their NCAA Championships, which are held from March 26 to 28.
