Students to Rally For Wind Power Today at Park Bldg.

Today students have the opportunity to rally in front of the U's Park Building steps at 11:30 a.m. to bring support for wind- power-generated energy. Student organizers are asking for a $1 increase in student fees to pay for a purchase of wind power energy in addition to coal power, which the U currently uses.

In Post-War Iraq, U.S. Presence Could Be Unstable

If the United States commits itself to overthrowing Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's current regime through the use of force, the aftermath could prove unstable for American postwar presence, according to Marc Sievers. "I can't tell you what the United States would do if there is a war in Iraq and Hussein's regime is overthrown...I am not convinced that the next Iraqi government will be a democracy if we can overthrow this one," Sievers said.
