The latest polls are out: Nearly two-thirds of the American public approve of the job President Bush is doing in the oval office. About the same percentage feels Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell make a convincing case for removing Saddam Hussein from power.

Letter To The Editor: Iraq Conflict Is Not About Oil

Editor: If you have a problem with President Bush committing troops to Iraq, then read the United Nations' resolution that says Iraq must give U.N. weapons inspectors complete access and cooperation--something those inspectors are not getting. Why even have a United Nations if every resolution it passes is not enforced? By not supporting troops in Iraq, the United Nations will show the world that it does not enforce its own rules.

State Urges Schools to Use Extra Grant Money

The bad economy and anticipation of even worse revenue projections are making many state administrators uneasy. Projections, due Feb. 15, are resulting in recommendations by the Utah State Office of the Legislative Fiscal Analyst that don't look promising for Utah's higher education system.

ASUU Workshops To Help Student Groups Get Funds

Student groups have the opportunity to request funding for the upcoming year for their various projects and activities. The Associated Students of the University of Utah will begin the annual budget process for the 2003-2004 year this week. To educate student groups about the budget process and how to apply for funding, ASUU will host two workshops on March 6 and 11.

Coach Rick Majerus' 300th win at Utah came in the same manner that many of the U men's basketball team's wins have come so far this season--with little breathing room. But unlike many games, the Utes were the ones playing catch up. Utah needed a 17-3 run late in the second half to erase a seven-point deficit with 9:43 to go, as the Utes (17-4, 5-1 MWC) topped Colorado State (14-7, 3-3) 71-66 in Fort Collins, Colo.
