Twelve percent is an estimate of how many students at the U vote at the Associated Students of the University of Utah elections. Of course, that number fluctuates a few points on a yearly basis, but it's a fairly low number considering the number of students who attend the U.

Men’s Hoops: Runnin’ Utes strategize for Colorado State

By and March 4, 2008
The U men's basketball team has dropped four straight games. The Colorado State Rams haven't won a game since Jan. 5. The two teams meet at the Huntsman Center tonight. Something has got to give, right? Not exactly. The Rams have a 19-game losing streak on the road.

Kopaunik: A separation of church and state?

By By Janice Kopaunik and By Janice Kopaunik March 4, 2008
A local company has a monopoly on a billion-dollar-a-year industry, and nothing is being done to stop it. This company is using its power to press state laws through that serve to expand its control and increase its revenues, but no one does anything. Unlike necessary monopoly institutions, this is an industry that could perform well through private investors.
