December 9, 2004
"So have a merry Christmas, a happy Hanukkah, a kwazy Kwanza, a tip-top Tet, and a solemn, dignified Ramadan." - Krusty the Klown That most wonderful time of the year is upon us once more. It's a time of snow and cookies and lots of mostly enjoyable, sometimes excruciating, family reunions.

December 9, 2004
While students roam around campus as the winter chill attacks and Michelin look a-likes have invaded campus, illusions of Finals Week accrue in every space left in the brain. Students of every kind-undergraduates and grads-tend to leave studying for finals to the last minute and then become frantic when they realize how close the actual test is-even more so when they realize that the test is comprehensive.

Fumble fiesta

December 9, 2004
1st and 10: Utah vs. BYU-for keeps As much as I wanted to make this a money vs. God issue, and believe me, I really wanted to make this about money and God, it just isn't fair to say that Kyle Whittingham's decision to snub BYU for the U's head coaching position was solely about either.

A grand farewell

December 9, 2004
So long suckers, I'm outta here! No more East-Coast bias, liberal, opinionated rants coming from this space. From now on, The Chrony will be filling this space with psalms and pictures of flowers and babies to counteract all the angry, sacreligious remarks that have held sway over the past year and a half.

Rout to recovery

December 9, 2004
What a difference a couple of classifications make. The Utes, coming off an embarrassing 26-point rout at Utah State, were revived in a hurry, rolling to a 98-63 blowout of NAIA Montana-Western Wednesday night. Richard Chaney led the U with 20 points, as the Utes committed a season low eight turnovers.
