Letter to the Editor: An Accommodations Policy is ridiculous

Editor: While I do realize that we live in Utah, I would like everyone else to stop for a moment and realize that the students we are talking about are ADULTS. This is not a concern over grade school children, or even secondary school children who are currently facing what seems to be a monthly threat of someone being caught with supplies in their possession to cause some harm to their friends, parents, or school.

The final regular-season game, against the Team Down South, is this Saturday and I must confess the season has raced by much faster than I anticipated. The support of this team by everyone has been outstanding and has contributed greatly to the success of the 10-0, fifth-ranked University of Utah football team.

Students can file taxes online

Though Thursday marks the final day to file state and federal income tax returns, Utah's electronic filing system offers another option for procrastinating students. Nearly every student is qualified to use the TaxExpress systems. Filers must have a full year of Utah residency, an annual income of no more than $75,000, cannot claim any tax credits and can't have any out of-state withholdings.
