Snow delays team schedule

By Paige Fieldsted, Staff Writer

Spring snow storms have forced the Utah women’s softball team to make changes to its schedule for the second time this week.

After moving Tuesday’s scheduled game against Utah Valley University to today, the Utes postponed the rest of the games scheduled for the week.

Both Wednesday’s game against Utah State and today’s against UVU have been postponed as continued winter conditions have made the field unsuitable.

The Utes have rescheduled the postponed games and will now host Utah State in a single-game matchup April 6 at 4 p.m. and will face UVU in a doubleheader April 26, with the first game beginning at noon.

The change in schedule means the Utes’ next game will begin the Mountain West Conference season, as they travel to New Mexico for their first MWC game April 2.

From there, the Utes will travel to Fort Collins, Colo., for two games against Colorado State on April 3 and April 4 before returning home to play the rescheduled Utah State game.
