By By Natalie Dicou September 7, 2007
If you're like many college students, you eagerly anticipate graduation, but dread it at the same time. On one hand, graduation means that you can land a good job and finally trade in your 1987 Geo Metro for a brand-new Audi. On the other hand, it means that you have to grow up.

On the other sideline: Air Force displays new attack formation

By By Jason Peterson September 7, 2007
Week one's disaster left U coach Kyle Whittingham and his staff with far more questions than answers. For Air Force, however, the clouds are starting to clear up after a somewhat enlightening season-opener. The Falcons, led by first-time head coach Troy Calhoun, helped to soothe the uneasiness of fans in Colorado Springs, Colo.

By By Jaime Winston September 7, 2007
Tania Datta and Ramesh Goel have seen many dead birds in the Great Salt Lake and they want to prevent the numbers from going up. Central Davis Sewer District awarded Goel, a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, a $60,000 contract to study bacteria and toxins in the lake that may be causing the birds' deaths.

Experts discuss creation of Kurd nation

By By Tina Siu September 7, 2007
If the Kurdish population in northern Iraq and Turkey were to form an official nation, there is a strong possibility it would be the second non-Islamic state in the Middle East, Robert Olson said. This topic, along with other issues facing the Kurdish population in the Middle East, was discussed during the opening presentation of the 2007 Middle East and Central Asia Politics, Economics and Society conference on Thursday.
