The No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish swept the No. 43 Utah women's tennis team, 7-0 Sunday at the Eccles Tennis Center.

Both the men's and women's tennis teams dropped two matches each against top-tier opponents during the weekend as the men saw their previously undefeated record of 3-0 fall to 3-2, while the No. 47 women fell to 1-3.

Both the men's and women's tennis teams will head east this weekend to take on top-level competition. The men's squad (3-0) goes to Waco, Texas to take on the No. 7 Baylor Bears.

After a strong debut at the BYU Invitational, the Utah women's tennis team will be back in action this week as it faces teams from across the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American Championship.
