The Utah women's basketball team followed the men's example as Morgan Warburton hit a game winning shot with two seconds remaining, giving the U women's basketball team a 56-55 win over the New Mexico Lobos and a place in the Mountain West Conference tournament finals.

Another year gone by, another Mountain West Conference Player of the Year for the Utes. After a terrific senior season in which she helped lead the Utes to a second straight conference title, Morgan Warburton received the honor Monday.

As Utah took care of business in the regular season, it gained the No. 1 seed in the Mountain West Conference Tournament and won a share of the regular season title with San Diego State.

Utah was plagued by cold-shooting all afternoon, as they only converted on 28.6 percent of their field goal attempts en route to the 53-47 loss. Utah (20-9, 13-3 MWC) will share the regular season title with San Diego State, who beat UNLV Saturday to earn a piece of the Mountain West Conference title.

The Utes will attempt to win the MWC title outright this Saturday as they take on the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth, Texas.

Morgan Warburton and the Utes were able to hold off a scrappy New Mexico Lobos team on Senior Day, 57-54. The win clinched a share of the Mountain West Conference title for the Utes, their seventh in the conference's 10-year existence.

Morgan Warburton, Katie King and Deanne Stevenson will play the final home game of their collegiate career, and Utah will need to win to give itself breathing room.

After an upset loss to UNLV earlier in the week, Utah kept its postseason hopes alive as the team earned a come-from-behind 59-54 victory over rival BYU.

UNLV was able to upset the Utes 68-55, thanks in large part to its defense holding Utah below 33 percent shooting from the floor.
