The women's basketball team put on an impressive display at the Huntsman Center on Wednesday night as it beat the Air Force Falcons 68-43, giving the Utes their sixth win in a row. Morgan Warburton led all scorers with 21 points and Katie King turned in another solid performance with 14.

Whipple and Warburton both put up career highs and the Utes got their second straight victory over a Pac-10 opponent, beating USC 87-77.

Utah looks to improve on its most recent victory and bump up its record to 4-4 as it takes on Santa Clara this weekend.

Although Westminster is close to the U in proximity, its women's basketball team could not have been farther from stealing a victory Tuesday when the Utes blew them away 69-49.

After getting a week to rest and practice, the Utes are ready to feed off their victory over Marquette on Nov. 30. Utah will take on Westminster College tonight at the Huntsman Center.

Turnovers don't look so hot right now. Utah is averaging 22.7 a game, and has a margin of minus 8.2 per game. That's good enough for last in the Mountain West Conference.

Despite riding a mentally draining four-game losing streak, being on the road and going into halftime down 15, Utah was able to pull it together and come out on top against Marquette 79-76.

If this year's recruiting rankings are any indication of future success, then the Utes should have plenty to smile about in the coming years.

Utah traveled to Marquette, Wis. during the weekend to take part in the WCBA Classic. The Utes were in round-robin play with three other competitive teams: Gonzaga, 15th ranked Virginia, and tournament host Marquette.

An often overlooked phase of basketball is handling the ball. Elaine Elliot's Utes learned that lesson the hard way against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, as Utah committed 26 turnovers en route to its first loss of the season 70-58 in Brookings, SD.
