Writing a funny column this week is hard. Since I began this "Wookin' Pa Nub" endeavor five weeks ago, some things with girls have actually happened, and I don't know if I can be funny about them. For one, I've totally been making out with a girl this whole time, and trying to attract another pretty girl in the process.

Students divided on party lines over State of Union

During the 2005 State of the Union address President Bush detailed an agenda touching on the issues of Social Security, Iraq's direction, marriage and stem-cell research. U students attending a screening of the event sponsored by the College Democrats said the address was an overall success with a few exceptions.

Editor: I really appreciated everything that was said by Melissa Carey ("Bi-Polar Express" Feb. 2). I had to respond in some way. Not only is Utah ignoring social behaviors, it's a common practice! It makes no sense to me. Issues will never be resolved this way.

After listening last week to a woman on National Public Radio talk about her eating disorder, I considered writing a column about society's obsession with physical aesthetics. I could write what studies have shown to be true: that flaunting extremely skinny women on the pages of magazines or on TV is detrimental to the self-concepts of young girls.

Lovers and players

Dating more than one person at once is gaining respect as a legitimate type of relationship. Polyamory is also defined as "having many loves" and "responsible non-monogamy." The relationship began to emerge out of the sexual revolution of the 1960s. In a polyamorous relationship, all of the parties involved are well-known to one another and are willing to share each other.
