Letter to the Editor: What’s wrong with recycling newspapers?

Editor: While I may not be as gung-ho about recycling as some, I am astonished by the lack of foresight from the student leadership regarding their endeavors. I live in the Benchmark student apartments and we have big blue recycling bins on each floor with labels on the top to remind us about what is recyclable and what is not.

Pre-med students sleep out in the cold to benefit homeless

In recognition of World AIDS Day, organizations at the U have planned events aimed at educating people about AIDS in order to prevent further spreading the HIV virus. The theme this year is "Have you heard me today?" and will focus mostly on females. The LGBT has joined forces with the modern dance department to talk about how the arts can be used to raise awareness for issues such as the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Let's see: credit debt that goes unpaid, present buying that adds to debt, holiday "cheer," lists of New Year's "resolutions," and having to visit your family-then showing them your Fall Semester grades.
