All about the water: scuba and dehydration in the winter months

February 19, 2004
What the heck are you going to do this next week other than study, work, study, work... Feel like puking yet? That's what I'm here for-to tell you what to do. I have to tell you about this place called Seabase first because it's so freakin' cool. This place is a natural warm spring located just 40 miles outside of Salt Lake City that some crazy divers decided to stock with tropical fish and sharks.

A Palestinian and an Israeli came to campus Wednesday to call for the creation of a Palestinian state and to end the Israeli occupation. Rev. Dr. Naim Ateek is a Palestinian Anglican priest and founder of Sabeel, an ecumenical Palestinian liberation theology institute of Christians.

No longer left out in the dark

February 19, 2004
Infrared lights are invisible to the human eye, but with U Airmed's latest night-vision goggles, darkness is no longer a problem. Before Airmed purchased the new military night-vision goggles, pilots were unable to use the older models because of depth perception.

February 18, 2004

In fact, liberals believe that every problem is caused because the government isn't spending enough money. This simplistic notion is the center of most liberal social and political commentary: "There's a problem.

Letter to the Editor: Poulton is an Honest Politician

By and October 28, 2002
Editor: I am writing in response to Dan Thatcher's Oct. 24 column, "Don't Vote for Steve Poulton," in which Thatcher attacked Poulton, who is running for state Senate in the 4th District. I could take the road frequently travelled, not standing up for anything or anybody and simply sink behind another article, angry, offended and embarrassed that my university publishes such unprofessional things.

Letter to the Editor: Hang Those Rainbow Flags High

By By Robison, Dana and By Robison, Dana October 15, 2002
Editor: I write this in response to Bart Gatrell's October 14 letter to the editor, "Rainbow Flags are Offensive." "Sexual preference" is a misnomer. Gatrell would probably argue that he cannot readily change his "preference" for females or his rather obvious homophobic lack of attraction for males.

Letter to the Editor: New Web Design Improvement

By By Christopher Condrat and By Christopher Condrat September 25, 2002
Editor: After reading about the new beta for the U Web site, http://www.utah.edu/beta/, I decided to pay a visit to see what the proposed design would be. In a word, the design is awful. The site looks tacky and amateurish, from type to layout. The menu system on the current Web page may be a pain to use, but how is this one any better? And why is the webmaster using Macromedia Flash? Flash is for animations or visually complex sites, not for a site intended to reach a large audience.
