Vanessa Hudson, Editor in Chief
Vanessa is from Grand Junction, Colorado. She’s a senior double majoring in communication with an emphasis in journalism and political science. She is also minoring in modern dance. Vanessa has been with the Chronicle since 2021, where she started as a news writer. She was the assistant news editor during the 2023-2024 academic year. Vanessa has interned with Deseret News, KUER, NPR Utah and The Salt Lake Tribune. She’s excited to lead the Chronicle this year as Editor in Chief. When Vanessa isn’t editing, you might spot her at Utah political events like rallies, legislative sessions and debates, practicing her reporting.
